Role Description The Phonetics Teacher will design and deliver structured lessons that build students’ understanding of speech sounds, pronunciation, and spoken English clarity. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting interactive classroom sessions, assessing student progress, and providing targeted feedback to improve articulation, intonation, and listening skills. The teacher will collaborate with other faculty to integrate phonetics into broader language-learning goals, develop teaching resources, and participate in school activities that support communication skills.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at SRMPS in Lucknow,



requiring consistent classroom presence and active engagement with the school’s academic and residential environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with proven experience in language or phonetics instruction.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Training to create structured, student-centered learning experiences.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken English and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field; specialization in phonetics or spoken English is an advantage.
- Experience working with school-age learners in a classroom setting, preferably in a residential or day-boarding school.
- Comfort with using educational aids and basic technology (audio tools, language lab equipment, or similar resources).
- Strong classroom management, patience, and a learner-centered approach aligned with holistic development.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, participate in school programs, and contribute to co-curricular communication activities.
