- Receive and verify prescriptions and medication orders.

- Dispense medicines accurately as prescribed by authorized medical professionals.

- Verify medicine name, strength, dosage, quantity, route, and expiry before dispensing.

- Provide appropriate instructions to patients regarding medication use whenever required.

- Check and maintain medicine stock, including batch number and expiry date.

- Follow FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles for medicine issue.

- Monitor temperature and storage conditions of medicines as applicable.

- Maintain proper records of dispensing, stock movement, and controlled/high-alert medicines.

- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged medicines, near-expiry medicines, or medication-related concerns.

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, stores, and other departments regarding medication requirements.

- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper arrangement of the pharmacy.

- Ensure medicines are issued only against authorized prescriptions or indent requirements.

- Handle emergency medicine requirements promptly as per hospital procedures.

Monthly Responsibilities

- Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.

- Review near-expiry and expired medicines.

- Prepare stock requirement/reorder lists based on consumption and minimum stock levels.

- Verify pharmacy registers and documentation.

- Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving medicines.





- Report stock shortages, excess stock, wastage, and discrepancies to the Pharmacy In-Charge.

- Participate in pharmacy audits and quality improvement activities.

Yearly Responsibilities

- Participate in annual pharmacy stock verification and audit activities.

- Support review and updating of pharmacy policies and procedures.

- Participate in hospital quality, patient safety, infection control, and medication safety programs.

- Attend mandatory training and competency assessment programs.

- Support preparation and maintenance of pharmacy-related documentation required for accreditation and statutory compliance.

Medication Safety Responsibilities

- Follow the hospital's medication management and patient safety procedures.

- Take additional precautions with high-alert medications, LASA (Look-Alike/Sound-Alike) medicines, and concentrated electrolytes as applicable.

- Ensure proper labeling and storage of medicines.

- Immediately report medication errors, near misses, and discrepancies through the prescribed reporting system.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.

- Do not dispense medicines without proper authorization or prescription wherever required.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
