Job Summary

The PGT Accountancy teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Accountancy to students in Grades 11 and 12 (or equivalent). The teacher will support students in developing a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and real-world financial concepts in line with the prescribed curriculum (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, State Board, or IB).

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Instruction:

- Teach Accountancy theory and practical concepts as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources tailored to diverse student needs.
- Integrate case studies, projects, and technology to enhance engagement and understanding.

1. Assessment & Evaluation:

- Design and conduct tests, assignments, and exams.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Prepare students for board examinations and internal assessments.

1. Classroom Management:

- Create a positive learning environment with effective behavior management strategies.
- Encourage critical thinking, ethical values,



and problem-solving abilities.

1. Career development:

- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated with current pedagogy and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and cross-functional activities.

1. Administrative Duties:

- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and staff meetings.
- Maintain student records and contribute to academic reports.

1. Co-curricular Involvement:

- Guide students in commerce-related extracurricular activities such as business clubs, quizzes, and financial literacy workshops.

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com) with specialization in Accountancy or related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory (as per regulatory norms).
- Prior teaching experience at the senior secondary level is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
