Role & responsibilities The Happy Daisies 24-Hour Pet Boarding, Mumbai

We are looking for 2 experienced, responsible and hands-on Pet Care & Boarding Staff to join our team.

This is a multi-responsibility boarding role. Every team member is expected to participate in the complete day-to-day operation of the facility.

Your responsibilities

Animal care

- Feeding dogs and cats according to individual instructions
- Providing fresh water
- Walking, exercising and supervising dogs
- Supervising playtime
- Safe handling of dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
- Bathing, brushing and basic grooming if requested by customer or seems necessary
- Nail trimming if requested by customer or seems necessary
- Administering medicines as instructed
- Monitoring appetite, behaviour, toileting and general condition
- Reporting any illness, injury or unusual behaviour immediately

Cleaning & hygiene

- Cleaning kennels, cat areas, feeding areas and common animal spaces
- Cleaning up after animals, including urine, faeces, vomit, etc.
- Washing bowls and maintaining feeding areas
- Changing bedding and maintaining clean sleeping areas
- Helping maintain overall hygiene and organisation of the facility

Boarding operations

- Preparing areas for incoming pets
- Settling new boarding pets
- Maintaining individual pet-care instructions and records
- Preparing pets and their belongings during check-out
- Keeping food, medicines, bedding and pet supplies organised
- Assisting other team members whenever required

Store & customer support





- Helping at the reception/store when required
- Assisting customers with pet essentials and product sales
- Handling basic customer queries
- Helping with billing/packing/delivery preparation when required
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the store/reception area

Preferred candidate profile Candidates who have stronger experience in dog handling, behaviour/training, medication administration, grooming, bathing, nail trimming and managing multiple animals will be given greater responsibility within the team.

What we are looking for

- Previous professional experience in pet boarding, kennel care, dog training, pet care, grooming, veterinary support, animal shelters or a similar environment
- Solid practical experience handling dogs
- Comfortable handling cats
- Good understanding of animal behaviour and safe handling
- Responsible and observant
- Comfortable with cleaning and all aspects of animal care
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Patient, reliable and willing to learn
- Good communication skills
- Genuine comfort working with animals

Salary is entirely based on the experience and skill set of the applicants. It is negotiable based on the above conditions.
