About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled Non-Functional Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Apache JMeter and practical experience in Playwright with TypeScript.

The selected candidate will work on performance, scalability, resilience, and functional automation testing for distributed, message-driven applications.

The role provides an opportunity to work with up-to-date technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, Microservices, CI/CD, and AI-enabled Quality Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance & Non-Functional Testing

- Design and execute performance, load, stress, capacity, scalability, endurance, spike, concurrency, and resilience testing using Apache JMeter.




- Develop realistic workload models based on production volumes, transaction profiles, peak periods, growth forecasts, and service-level requirements.
- Test REST APIs, databases, messaging interfaces, asynchronous services, batch processes, and end-to-end business workflows.
- Develop and maintain reusable JMeter performance-testing frameworks and scripts.
- Perform distributed and non-GUI JMeter execution.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyse response time, throughput, percentile latency, error rate, resource utilisation, and recovery behaviour.
- Correlate test results with application, JVM, database, infrastructure, network, and messaging metrics.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development, architecture, infrastructure, operations, and database teams for resolution.
- Perform resilience testing involving component failures, dependency failures, retries, backlogs, recovery, and failover scenarios.

AI-Enabled Quality Engineering:

- Use approved AI tools for test-scenario and edge-case generation.
- Use AI assistance for JMeter/Playwright script creation, synthetic test-data preparation, log analysis, defect investigation, automation refactoring, and documentation.
- Validate all AI-generated testing assets through appropriate human review.
- Ensure confidentiality, security, traceability, and maintainability when using AI tools.
