About the RolePerformance marketing in an agency is as much investigative work as it is campaign work. Real accounts are rarely tidy — a conversion event may be counting twice, a CRM stage may have been renamed, a landing page may have slowed after an update, and the auction keeps moving underneath all of it. So when cost per lead shifts, the interesting question is always which of those things actually caused it.
We are looking for someone who enjoys that question. Pulling the report is the straightforward part; the value you add is isolating the cause, proving it with data, and fixing the right thing first.
You will work across a handful of client accounts in different industries, with different budgets and different levels of measurement maturity. You will have the mandate to change things and the obligation to explain why.
Key ResponsibilitiesPaid media executionBuild and run Search, Performance Max, Meta and YouTube campaigns across your assigned accounts
Own daily budget pacing, search-term and negative keyword hygiene, placement and audience exclusions, and creative rotation
Make bid strategy and structure changes with a documented reason and an expected outcome attached to each one
Martech and trackingOwn the measurement plumbing: GA4 property and key-event configuration, GTM containers, Meta Pixel and Conversions API
Set up and maintain offline and CRM conversion imports, UTM governance, cross-domain tracking and consent handling
Investigate and resolve discrepancies when two platforms report different numbers for the same event, and document what you found
Analytics and reportingBuild Looker Studio dashboards clients actually open, and write the interpretation that sits on top of them
Track funnel-stage conversion, lead-quality cohorts, blended CAC and channel contribution
Turn reporting into a point of view supported by numbers, not a screenshot of numbers
Growth experimentationRun structured tests on offers, audiences, creative and landing pages — hypothesis first, metric and sample defined up front
Call results honestly, including when a test disproves something the team believed
Work with our SEO and content teams on what happens after the click
What We're Looking For1.5–3 years hands-on in paid media, with real budgets you were accountable for — Google Ads and Meta at minimum
GA4 and Looker Studio fluency well past the default reports, and comfort working inside a GTM container
Ability to build a lead-to-revenue funnel view in a spreadsheet without being told how A diagnostic instinct — you check the tracking before you blame the algorithm
Clear written communication: short status notes, plain language, no jargon padding
Composure with clients — you can hold a conversation with someone who is unhappy about the number in front of them
Comfort working across several accounts and industries at once, without a ready-made playbook
Positive to HaveServer-side tagging or Conversions API implementation experience
CRM experience — HubSpot, Zoho or Salesforce — including offline conversion imports
SQL, Apps Script, or a habit of automating your own reporting with AI tools
SEO or landing-page background: you understand what happens after the click
Copywriting ability for ads and landing pages, in English and ideally one other language
Category exposure in e-commerce, B2B, ed-tech, healthcare, real estate or D2C
