Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Payroll Clerk at Taxcart.

The Payroll

Clerk will process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings. The role includes maintaining payroll records, updating employee information, and resolving payroll discrepancies in coordination with team members and other departments.

Clerk will assist with payroll tax filings, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and support audits and compliance reporting.



Collaboration with accounting and HR functions to improve payroll processes and documentation is also part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Payroll Services and Payroll Administration, with experience handling recurring payroll cycles.
- Knowledge of Payroll Management and Payroll Taxes, including statutory deductions and compliance requirements.
- Foundational Accounting skills, especially in reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Proficiency with payroll software and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll information to non-specialists.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in payroll or accounting support roles is preferred; relevant certification or coursework in payroll or accounting is a plus.
