We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Pattern Master specializing in beaded and sequin dresses. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, grading, and perfecting patterns for high-end evening wear on different fabrics. You will work closely with embroidery artisans to ensure that patterns account for the unique weight, drape, and technical challenges of heavily embellished fabrics.

Core Responsibilities Pattern Creation & Technical Execution

- Draft master patterns (blocks) from designer sketches, tech packs, or draped muslins.
- Account for embellishment dynamics, calculating exact shrinkage, fabric stretch, and weight factors caused by heavy beading.
- Create seamless engineered panels ensuring that sequin/bead motifs align perfectly at the seams, zippers, and hems.
- Incorporate "no-bead" seam allowances (cleared borders) into patterns so sample makers can stitch seams without breaking needles or cracking beads.

Fitting & Quality Control

- Conduct fit sessions on live models or mannequins alongside the design team.
- Modify and correct patterns based on fit feedback, ensuring optimal comfort, structural integrity, and movement.
- Analyze how heavy embellishments pull the fabric and adjust grainlines or inner structures (like corsetry or underlining) to compensate.

Collaboration & Production Hand-off

- Create detailed layout maps (artwork placement guides)



for the hand-embroidery.
- Collaborate with sample cutters and tailors to guide them through complex cutting and assembly processes.
- Oversee pattern grading for a full size range while maintaining the visual balance of the beadwork across different sizes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Pattern Master or Technical Designer, with a strict focus on luxury evening wear, bridal, or haute couture.
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of flat pattern making, draping, and garment construction techniques specifically for delicate and heavy fabrics (e.g., tulle, chiffon, georgette, satin, and crepe).
- Embellishment Knowledge: Deep understanding of how hand-embroidery, affect fabric behavior.
- Tools: Proficiency in manual pattern drafting (paper/muslin).
- Precision: Exceptional eye for detail, symmetry, and geometric accuracy.
- Must have excellent knowledge of making all types or corset.
