Responsibilities
Patch Deployment: Design, implement, and manage patch deployment processes for Windows servers and workstations. This includes testing, scheduling, and monitoring patch installations.
Vulnerability Management: Identify vulnerabilities in Windows systems and applications. Collaborate with security teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities promptly.
Patch Testing: Test patches in a controlled setting before deploying them to production systems. Ensure compatibility and assess potential impacts.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patch management activities, including patch lists, schedules, and reports.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor patch compliance, track success rates,
and generate reports for management.
Collaboration: Work closely with system administrators, network engineers, and security teams to ensure seamless patch deployment.
Emergency Patching: Respond to critical security vulnerabilities by applying emergency patches as needed.
Qualifications
8-10 years of work experience as a Windows / Linux Administrator.
Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
Ability to create scripts in Powershell, Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages.
Familiarity with databases, patch management, and networks (including LAN and WAN).
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or RHCE can be advantageous.
Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
