Experience: 2 to 5 years in hotel distribution The opportunity: Our hotels sell through global wholesalers, bedbanks, OTAs and corporate channels (for example HotelBeds, WebBeds, W2M). Distribution is the newest function at Atica, and we are growing it now. In this role, you are the main contact for these partners. You make sure that our hotels are live, visible and selling on each channel. You work directly with the Director of Distribution, and your work has a direct effect on hotel revenue.
What you will do
- Manage a set of distribution partners: contacts, live hotels, production and open issues.
- Run regular production reviews with each partner. Find the hotels that do not sell and agree actions to fix this.
- Renew partner contracts and blackout dates before they expire.
- Handle partner escalations. Fix the problem, then find the cause.
- Agree promotions and placements with partners to increase production.
- Send a short weekly update for each partner: what moved, what is blocked, what is next.
Must have
- 2 to 5 years in hotel distribution with OTA, bedbank or wholesaler partners. For example: Market Associate or Market Manager at an OTA, Contracting or Account role at a bedbank, or Distribution or eCommerce role at a hotel company.
- Good knowledge of net rates, markups, commissions, allotments, stop-sells and rate parity.
- Clear and professional written and spoken English. You can say no to a partner and keep a good relationship.
- Good Excel skills. You can read production data and decide what to do first.
Valuable to have
- Experience with US hotels.
- Experience with corporate or closed-user-group channels.
- Experience with channel managers (for example SiteMinder, DerbySoft).
