Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Packaging Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in packaging development, particularly with glass bottles and beverage packaging. The candidate will be responsible for packaging development, quality testing, troubleshooting, supplier coordination, and ensuring packaging components meet required quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and improve packaging solutions for beverage products, with a strong focus on glass bottles.
- Work on bottle specifications, dimensions, drawings, closures, labels, capsules, cartons, and secondary packaging.
- Conduct and coordinate packaging quality testing to ensure components meet defined specifications.

Perform/coordinate tests such as:
- Bottle dimensional inspection
- Glass thickness and weight verification
- Burst/pressure testing
- Thermal shock testing
- Drop and impact testing
- Top-load/compression testing
- Closure and sealing performance
- Label adhesion and application checks
- Transportation and packaging performance testing
- Identify packaging defects, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with quality, production, procurement, R&D;, suppliers, and manufacturing teams for packaging-related activities.
- Evaluate and approve packaging samples and conduct trials on production lines.
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, testing protocols, inspection standards, and technical documentation.




- Support new product development and packaging improvement projects from concept through commercialization.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, packaging trials, and quality audits where required.
- Monitor packaging performance during production and resolve issues related to bottles, closures, labels, cartons, and other components.
- Ensure packaging complies with applicable quality, safety, food-contact, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze packaging failures and recommend suitable material/design/process improvements.
- Support cost optimization and material reduction initiatives without compromising packaging quality or product protection.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Development, Packaging Quality, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with glass bottles, preferably in the beverage related industry.
- Positive understanding of bottle manufacturing, bottle specifications, dimensions, defects, and quality parameters.
- Practical knowledge of packaging testing and quality inspection methods.
- Experience in handling packaging suppliers and conducting packaging trials.
- Knowledge of root-cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Good understanding of packaging materials including glass, labels, closures, cartons, and other secondary packaging.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and packaging standards.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Education Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or Diploma in Packaging Technology, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
