Job Summary:

Responsible for providing technical and clinical support during minor and major procedures, maintaining OT readiness, ensuring proper sterilization and infection-control practices, and assisting doctors and nursing staff during IVF-related procedures and other gynecological surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before and after procedures, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and availability of required equipment.
- Assist doctors and nursing staff during OPU (Oocyte Pick-Up), embryo transfer, hysteroscopy, D&C;, and other gynecological procedures as required.
- Arrange and maintain surgical instruments, OT consumables, equipment, and emergency supplies.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments and OT equipment as per hospital protocols.
- Follow strict infection-control and biomedical waste management procedures.
- Check the functionality and availability of OT equipment, including suction apparatus, cautery, monitors, oxygen supply, and other necessary equipment.
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures and ensure safe transfer to and from the OT.
- Maintain accurate OT records, procedure registers, sterilization records, and consumable records.




- Coordinate with the IVF, nursing, embryology, and housekeeping teams for smooth procedure flow.
- Maintain adequate stock of surgical supplies, disposables, and emergency materials and report shortages promptly.
- Support emergency procedures and ensure emergency equipment is readily available.
- Follow patient safety, infection prevention, NABH, and hospital SOP requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow professional standards.
- Perform any other OT-related duties assigned by the management or reporting manager.
