Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible OT Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theatre. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent team-management skills, and hands-on experience in OT administration and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre.
- Plan and coordinate OT schedules, surgeries, and staff allocation.
- Supervise and manage OT nurses, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure proper preparation of the OT before every procedure.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of OT equipment, instruments, and consumables.
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing teams, and other departments.
- Monitor OT documentation, records, inventory, and stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.




- Handle emergencies and resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Train, guide, and evaluate OT staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Monitor staff attendance, shift rosters, and manpower requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Support audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities within the OT.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and patient-friendly OT environment.

Candidate Requirements
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM Nursing qualification.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably with significant experience in Operation Theatre management.
- Strong knowledge of OT procedures, infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Solid communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple surgeries and OT activities efficiently.
- Should be comfortable working in shifts and handling emergency situations.
