Job Summary The STP Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation, monitoring, and routine maintenance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The operator ensures that all treatment processes, equipment, chemical dosing systems, and plant parameters are maintained as per operational requirements and environmental standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the complete STP process, including screening, equalization, biological treatment, clarification, filtration, disinfection, and treated-water handling.
- Monitor plant equipment such as pumps, blowers, agitators, mixers, dosing systems, filters, and other mechanical equipment.
- Check and record important operating parameters such as pH, DO, MLSS, flow, sludge levels, pressure, and chemical dosing as applicable.
- Carry out routine inspection of the plant and immediately report abnormal conditions, equipment failures, leaks, or unusual sounds/vibrations.
- Operate chemical dosing systems safely and maintain proper chemical levels.
- Monitor sludge generation, sludge transfer, dewatering, and disposal activities.
- Perform backwashing and routine cleaning of filters and other treatment units as required.




- Maintain daily STP operation logs, equipment checklists, chemical consumption records, and parameter records.
- Collect wastewater and treated-water samples for laboratory testing as instructed.
- Maintain the plant area in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and other equipment.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the O&M; Supervisor, maintenance team, electrical team, and laboratory personnel.
- Ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation of the STP as per the required operating schedule.
- Report daily plant performance, abnormalities, breakdowns, chemical requirements, and maintenance requirements to the Supervisor/Plant In-Charge.

* Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
