Role Overview

We are hiring an Operations Manager for our Pune West operations, responsible for day-to-day execution across Returnable Asset Management, Warehousing, and Transportation. This role drives operational discipline, asset accountability, and reliable, data-backed service delivery for the region, reporting to Supply Chanin Head.

Key Responsibilities

Returnable Asset Management

- Manage the regional asset lifecycle — deployment, tracking, cleaning, repair, and redeployment
- Reduce losses, damages, and idle inventory while improving asset turnover at the site/region level
- Conduct periodic asset audits and reconciliation with client/vendor locations

Warehousing & Transportation

- Manage regional warehouse operations and coordinate logistics/transportation networks




- Optimize space and vehicle utilization, and drive route efficiency for daily dispatches
- Ensure consistent OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance for regional accounts

Cost & Technology

- Support and execute the regional operating budget; identify and implement Lean/Kaizen-based cost-saving initiatives
- Use WMS, TMS, asset tracking tools, and MIS dashboards to monitor daily operations and flag deviations

Leadership & Governance

- Lead, train, and supervise the regional operations team (warehouse staff, dispatch, asset handlers)
- Enforce vendor SLAs and ensure safety/statutory compliance at the regional level
- Coordinate with Sales for smooth customer onboarding and rapid resolution of service escalations

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

1. Asset utilization rate, turnaround time, and loss/damage percentage
2. Warehouse productivity, space utilization, and cost-per-unit
3. Transportation cost efficiency (cost per km/trip) and OTIF adherence
4. Regional budget adherence and continuous process improvement

Candidate Profile

- 6–8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, 3PL, or asset-intensive operations, ideally in an automotive/OEM-linked setting
- Hands-on experience running warehouse and transportation operations at a site/regional level
- Working knowledge of WMS/TMS tools and MIS reporting
- Strong people-management and vendor-coordination skills
- MBA / Engineering / Supply Chain qualification preferred
