Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to manage and improve day-to-day manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production, quality, delivery, manpower, safety, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production activities and targets. Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, Engineering, and Dispatch teams. Monitor manpower, machine capacity, material availability, WIP, and production performance.
Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
Ensure quality standards, SOPs, drawings, and customer requirements are followed.
Control rejection, rework, downtime, material shortages, and production losses.
Plan manpower and supervise production supervisors and shop-floor teams.
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Ensure workplace safety, PPE usage, 5S, housekeeping,
and statutory compliance.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor operational KPIs, production costs, overtime, productivity, and machine utilization.
Conduct daily/weekly operations review meetings and report performance to management.
- Ensure on-time delivery and effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Required Skills
Strong manufacturing and shop-floor management experience. Good knowledge of production planning and scheduling. Robust leadership and manpower management skills.
Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MIS systems.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in fabrication, machining, assembly, industrial equipment, automation, or engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
