Job Role- Transport Coordinator

Job Role and Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Transportation Planning & Coordination:

o Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities.

o Assign transport loads to carriers and drivers based on priority and efficiency.

o Track shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and minimise delays.

o Optimise transport routes to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.

· Carrier & Vendor Management:

o Liaise with trucking companies, freight forwarders, and courier services.

o Negotiate contracts and freight rates with carriers.

o Monitor carrier performance and ensure adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

· Inventory Management & Distribution Support:

o Work closely with Inventory Management teams to ensure smooth loading and unloading of goods.

o Verify shipment documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery receipts, etc.).

o Address and resolve transport-related issues with Inventory Management operations.

· Compliance & Safety:

o Ensure transport activities comply with local, national, and international regulations.





o Monitor driver and vehicle compliance with safety and operational guidelines.

o Maintain accurate transport logs, reports, and compliance records.

· Customer Service & Communication:

o Provide transport updates to clients, Inventory Management teams, and stakeholders.

o Handle transport-related queries, delays, or complaints professionally.

o Collaborate with customer service teams to manage order fulfilment and delivery expectations.

· Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

o Track transport KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and transport costs.

o Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transport operations.

In Straightforward words: The role is mainly about coordinating transportation and making sure shipments are picked up and delievered on time. Youll be coordinating with drivers,transport,vendor and internal teams,tracking shipments, handling any delays or issues, checking shipment documents and maintaining transport-related records and reports

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
