Role Description This is a full-time, in office Occupational Therapist role based at Shelterarms Child Development Center in Bengaluru.

The Occupational

Therapist will assess children’s developmental and functional abilities, including motor, sensory, cognitive, and self-care skills, using standardized tools and clinical observations. The role involves planning and delivering individualized intervention programs, conducting therapy sessions, and monitoring progress to promote independence and participation in daily activities.

Therapist will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to align goals, provide home programs,



and support carryover of strategies across settings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to caregiver education, and engaging in ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with demonstrated ability to design and implement pediatric intervention plans.
- Knowledge of Pediatrics and child development, with experience working with children in early intervention or related clinical settings. Minimun 1 to 2 years of Experience required.
- Effective Communication skills for working with children, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; appropriate registration or licensure as required.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments, maintain detailed documentation, and use evidence-based practices in therapy planning.
- Collaborative mindset, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to ethical, family-centered care and continuous professional growth.
- Experience in multidisciplinary child development centers, early intervention programs, or pediatric hospitals is an advantage.
