- Siemens NX Surfacing : Advanced surface modeling, Class-A surfacing, freeform design, G2/G3 continuity
- Plastic Part Design : Design for Manufacturing (DFM), wall thickness, ribs, bosses, snap fits, living hinges, draft angles
- CREO Parametric : 3D solid modeling, assembly design, drawing creation, GD&T;
- Product Design : Consumer electronics, automotive interiors, enclosures, housings
- Design Validation : Interference checking, tolerance analysis, fit-form-function verification

Secondary Skills
- Injection Molding Knowledge : Mold flow basics, gate location, parting line, ejection system
- Sheet Metal Design (if applicable): Bend allowance, K-factor, flat pattern development
- GD&T; : Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 or ISO standards
- Reverse Engineering : Point cloud processing, scan-to-CAD workflows
- PLM/PDM : Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar for version control and change management

Typical ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
- Create complex freeform surfaces and plastic components using NX Surfacing and CREO .
- Develop concept designs , detailed 3D models , and production-ready drawings .
- Ensure designs meet aesthetic , functional ,



and manufacturability requirements.

Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with industrial designers , tooling engineers , and manufacturing teams .
- Coordinate with mold makers and vendors for design feasibility and DFM feedback.
- Support prototyping , tooling trials , and production ramp-up .

Documentation & Quality
- Generate 2D drawings with proper GD&T; , BOMs , and technical specifications .
- Maintain design documentation in PLM/PDM systems.
- Participate in design reviews , FMEA , and DFMEA activities.

Industry Focus
- Consumer Electronics : Mobile phones, wearables, home appliances
- Automotive : Interior trim, dashboards, bezels, lighting housings
- Medical Devices : Enclosures, ergonomic grips, disposable components
- Industrial Products : Control panels, instrument housings, protective covers

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in NX Surfacing and plastic part design .
- Proficiency in CREO for complementary modeling tasks.
- Robust understanding of injection molding , tooling , and manufacturing constraints .
- Portfolio demonstrating complex surface modeling and plastic design projects .
