Role Description The Night Supervisor is a full-time, in office role based at Merryland Nursing Home in Kolkata. This position oversees nursing and support staff during night shifts, ensuring that patient care is delivered safely, consistently, and in line with established protocols. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, coordinating admissions and discharges, assigning and adjusting staff duties, and supporting clinical decision-making when urgent situations arise.

The Night

Supervisor maintains documentation and reports,



checks that treatments and medications are administered correctly, and ensures compliance with regulatory and facility standards. The role also involves addressing concerns from patients and families, promoting a calm and secure environment, and collaborating with daytime leadership to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical knowledge in nursing or healthcare, with the ability to make sound decisions during night shifts.
- Experience in supervision or team leadership within a hospital, nursing home, or similar care setting.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, documentation, and adherence to healthcare policies and safety protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple tasks and emergencies calmly.
- Relevant professional nursing or healthcare qualification and registration, as required by local regulations.
- Prior experience in geriatric care or long-term care facilities is an advantage.
- Willingness to work night shifts consistently and maintain reliability and punctuality.
