Role Overview

Gate Manufacturing Private Limited is looking for an experienced NPD Senior Engineer to manage new product development activities for steel stamping and press components.

The role involves handling product development from customer requirements and drawings through prototype, tooling, trials, validation, and production launch, with strong focus on manufacturability, quality, cost, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end NPD activities for steel stamped components.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, tolerances and requirements.
- Develop products using progressive die and tandem die processes.
- Coordinate with Tooling, Production, Quality and suppliers for product development.
- Review BOM, process feasibility and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate prototype development, tool trials and production validation.
- Support tooling development, die corrections and process improvements.
- Identify and resolve product/process issues during trials and launch.
- Support DFM, costing and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain NPD documentation and project status reports.




- Ensure timely completion of NPD projects and smooth transfer to production.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience in NPD / Product Development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Steel Stamping / Press Components.
- Experience with Progressive Dies and Tandem Dies is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal processes, tooling and press operations.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T; and manufacturing feasibility.
- Experience in prototype development, tool trials and product validation.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
