Opti Grid Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated and technically sound Fiber Optic Network Engineer / Technician for our Ratnagiri project site. This role focuses on the end-to-end execution, implementation, and maintenance of optical fiber cable (OFC) networks, specifically coordinating and executing rollouts involving RailTel and BSNL fiber infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of electrical, telecom, and IT networking knowledge to ensure high-reliability connectivity and seamless grid or network integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Fiber Implementation &
- Installation:

Oversee and execute the end-to-end laying, pulling, splicing (fusion splicing), and termination of optical fiber cables for RailTel and BSNL network integration projects.

- Equipment Deployment: Install and configure optical line terminals (OLTs), optical network terminals (ONTs), media converters, routers, switches, and power supply units.

- Testing &

- Troubleshooting:

Conduct OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), power meter testing, and fault localization to ensure optimal signal strength, minimal attenuation, and rapid restoration of link outages.

- Coordination with Operators: Liaise with telecom authorities, project managers, and field teams regarding RailTel/BSNL network handovers, route alignments, joint closures, and splicing schedules.

- IT &

- Electrical Integration:

Manage associated power distribution, earthing, backup power systems (SMPS/UPS),



and local IT backhaul required for active telecom and grid hardware.

- Documentation &

- Compliance:

Maintain precise documentation of fiber routes, splice loss reports, as-built drawings, and safety compliance records according to telecom industry standards.

Candidate Requirements

- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics &
- Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical certification.

- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on field experience in optical fiber communication (OFC) deployment, specifically working with telecom operators like BSNL, RailTel, or major ISPs.

- Core Technical Skills:

- Expertise in fusion splicing, optical power meter testing, and OTDR testing.

- Strong working knowledge of GPON/EPON architectures, LAN/WAN setup, and IP networking.

- Basic electrical knowledge regarding power supplies, earthing, and safety protocols for active telecom racks.

- Soft Skills:

- Robust troubleshooting mindset and capability to handle outdoor field assignments across the Ratnagiri region.

- Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English for local coordination and reporting.

- Valid driving license or willingness to travel locally for site installations.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
