About The Role

World Wide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer specializing in Load Balancing and Firewall management for a long-term remote contract position. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive hands-on experience in managing F5 BIG-IP environments and Fortinet firewalls. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting load balancers and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance and security.

As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve connectivity issues, support system upgrades, and implement new configurations.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in network engineering with specific expertise in load balancing and firewall management. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers and Fortinet firewalls. A solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS is essential.

Familiarity with SSL/TLS certificates and offloading techniques is required. The candidate should have excellent troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams. Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or Fortinet NSE certifications will be an added advantage.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP load balancers to optimize application delivery and performance.
- Work on F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) configurations, including Virtual Servers, Pools, Pool Members, and iRules scripting.
- Manage SSL certificates, perform SSL offloading, and ensure secure communications across applications.
- Monitor application traffic,



perform health checks, and troubleshoot load-balancing and connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with network and application teams to diagnose and resolve complex network problems.
- Support F5 upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes to maintain system stability and security.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure minimal service disruption.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and compliance.
