About The Role WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is seeking an experienced Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer for a remote, long-term contract position. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who possesses extensive expertise in network engineering and leadership within complex, large-scale environments.

The successful candidate will act as a technical leader within the delivery team, guiding project execution, designing scalable network solutions, and ensuring alignment with architectural standards. The position involves collaborating with global support teams to transition solutions into operational support, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving technical excellence across projects.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of demonstrable experience in leading, designing, and implementing complex network solutions within regulated industries or large enterprise environments.



Proven experience as a Lead Engineer on complex programs, with the ability to lead technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, is essential.

Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at Certified Technical Specialist level will be advantageous. A deep understanding of multiple network technologies, combined with proactive workload and time management skills, is required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Act as a Lead or SME within the complex delivery team, providing technical guidance and expertise across multiple network disciplines.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable network infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and architectural standards.
- Develop low-level designs and supporting documentation to ensure clarity and compliance with organizational policies.
- Lead delivery efforts on large transformational projects, managing end-to-end project execution and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with global support teams to transition network solutions into operational support, ensuring smooth handover and ongoing maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with governance, change management, risk, and audit requirements across all network activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives,



providing regular progress updates and escalating issues as necessary.
- Estimate workload and delivery timelines accurately, ensuring project milestones are met within scope and budget.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Make informed decisions throughout project lifecycles to enhance delivery and mitigate potential delays or risks.
- Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, supporting risk management initiatives.
