Summary The Senior Netskope Operations Engineer is responsible for the operational management, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the enterprise Netskope platform, including Cloud Firewall (CFW), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Netskope Private Access (NPA), and DNS Security capabilities. The role serves as the primary operational SME for Netskope services, ensuring platform stability, policy governance, incident resolution, change management, and service optimization across a global enterprise environment. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on operational experience supporting large scale Netskope deployments.

Key Responsibilities Platform Operations Own the day-to-day operation of Netskope Cloud Firewall, SWG, NPA, and DNS Security services. Monitor platform health, policy enforcement, client connectivity, traAic steering, and service performance. Perform routine administration, configuration updates, and tenant maintenance.

Ensure service availability and adherence to operational service levels. Participate in on-call support and major incident response activities. Incident & Problem Management Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for Netskope-related incidents.

Troubleshoot user connectivity, application access, DNS, steering, SSL inspection, and policy enforcement issues. Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans. Lead technical bridge calls during high-priority incidents.

Drive permanent fixes for recurring operational issues.

Policy Administration Maintain Cloud

Firewall, SWG, NPA, DLP, and DNS Security policies. Review firewall and web access requests.



Manage business exceptions, whitelists, bypasses, and policy changes. Ensure policy changes follow governance and change management processes. Validate policy eAectiveness and recommend security improvements.

Service

Monitoring & Reporting Monitor operational dashboards and service health metrics. Track key performance indicators, trends, and service issues. Develop reports covering platform utilization, security events, top blocked activities, policy eAectiveness, and operational health. Support audit requests and operational reviews. Change & Release Management Execute production changes within Netskope environments. Support software upgrades, client deployments, steering changes, and policy rollouts. Validate changes in test and pilot environments before production deployment. Participate in change advisory board (CAB) processes and release readiness reviews.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve operational eAiciency and platform performance. Reduce policy complexity and eliminate obsolete configurations. Develop automation for repetitive operational tasks. Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures. Drive operational excellence initiatives across the Netskope service.

Stakeholder Support

Partner closely with Security Operations, Service Desk, Endpoint Engineering, Network Services, and IAM teams.



Provide expert guidance during application onboarding and troubleshooting activities. Support business units with exception requests and operational queries. Mentor junior engineers and support personnel.

Required Qualifications Experience 5+ years of Security Operations, Network Security Operations, or Security Engineering experience. 3+ years of hands-on administration and support of Netskope technologies.

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise deployments (10,000+ users preferred).

Experience operating Cloud Firewall, Secure Web Gateway, DNS Security, and NPA services.

Technical Skills

Strong troubleshooting experience with: Netskope Client Cloud Firewall (CFW) Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Netskope Private Access (NPA) DNS Security SSL Inspection TraAic Steering PAC Files and Proxy Services Working knowledge of: TCP/IP DNS Routing VPN technologies Active Directory Microsoft Entra ID SAML/OIDC Authentication Windows and macOS endpoints Experience with: ServiceNow SIEM platforms Log analysis and troubleshooting PowerShell or scripting automation Preferred Qualifications Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator (NCSA) Netskope Certified Cloud Security Architect (NCCA) CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent certifications Experience supporting global 24x7 operations Experience with ZTNA and SASE operational environments Key Success Measures Secure operation of Netskope services with minimal unplanned outages. Reduction in recurring incidents through root cause remediation. Timely completion of operational requests and changes. Continuous reduction of policy exceptions, bypasses, and technical debt. Positive user experience and successful adoption of Netskope services. Accurate operational reporting and strong audit compliance.
