About the Role The MYP & DP Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and concept-driven Mathematics learning experiences aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks.

The teacher will support students in developing mathematical understanding, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply Mathematics in real-world contexts.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP curriculum frameworks.
- Develop engaging, inquiry-based, concept-driven, and student-centered learning experiences.
- Support students in developing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and application skills.
- Design and implement appropriate formative and summative assessments.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support students in meeting programme-specific learning objectives and assessment requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective classroom routines and a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary learning experiences where appropriate.
- Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, assessment, and departmental development.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Maintain appropriate student records, assessment documentation, and learning evidence.
- Participate actively in IB professional development, workshops, training,



and school programmes.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the school's Mathematics curriculum.
- Integrate appropriate educational technology and digital tools to enhance Mathematics teaching and learning.

MYP & DP Responsibilities

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) philosophy, approaches to teaching, and approaches to learning.
- Support MYP students in developing conceptual understanding and applying Mathematics across different contexts.
- Plan and assess learning in alignment with relevant MYP objectives and criteria.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Support DP students in developing mathematical reasoning, analytical skills, and examination readiness.
- Guide students in applying mathematical concepts to authentic and real-world situations.
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative assessment practices.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in secondary Mathematics.
- Experience teaching IB MYP and/or DP Mathematics.
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and concept-driven teaching.
- Good understanding of Mathematics curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.




- Robust classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Experience teaching both IB MYP and DP Mathematics will be an advantage.
- Experience with IB assessment, moderation, and curriculum planning.
- Experience working in an international, multicultural, or diverse educational environment.
- Ability to use innovative and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to inspire students and develop confidence in Mathematics.
- Experience contributing to curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
