Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible MRI Technician to operate MRI equipment and assist in performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures. The technician will ensure patient safety, proper positioning, accurate image acquisition, equipment quality, and compliance with established MRI safety and clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician/radiologist instructions and established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, examination details, and relevant contraindications before scanning.
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, metallic objects, and other contraindications.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and provide appropriate instructions before and during examinations.
- Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.
- Select appropriate MRI sequences and imaging parameters according to the examination protocol.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to discomfort or emergencies.
- Review acquired images for positioning, quality, artifacts, and diagnostic adequacy.
- Repeat sequences when required to obtain acceptable image quality.
- Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
- Follow MRI safety procedures and departmental infection-control protocols.
- Ensure proper use and handling of MRI coils, accessories, and other equipment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report technical issues
