: Mobile Repair Technician

Job Title: Mobile Repair Technician / Smartphone Service Technician

Department: Technical Service & Repairs

Reports To: Service Center Manager

Job Purpose The Mobile Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing mobile phones, tablets, and handheld electronic devices. This role requires technical proficiency in both hardware Part / Component replacement and software troubleshooting, alongside a commitment to maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Hardware Repair

- Perform diagnostics to identify hardware issues, liquid damage, battery health degradation, display faults, and motherboard failures.
- Carry out component-level repairs and replacements including LCD screens, touch digitizers, charging ports, batteries, camera modules, speakers, and back glass.
- Clean, service, and restore water-damaged or physically damaged devices.

Software & System Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve operating system glitches, boot loops, network connectivity bugs, and application crashes across iOS and Android platforms.
- Perform software flashing, OS reinstalls, data backup, data recovery, and factory resets.
- Maintain data privacy and strictly follow security protocols for user data during repairs.

Customer Interaction & Service Operations
- Communicate clearly with customers to understand device symptoms, explain repair requirements, and provide accurate turnaround estimates.
- Create detailed job sheets/service tickets recording customer complaints, device physical condition, and required spare parts.
- Perform pre-repair and post-repair Quality Check (QC) tests using diagnostic checklists.
- Hand over repaired devices to customers,



demonstrating proper functionality and explaining repair warranties.

Inventory & Workplace Safety
- Maintain stock records of spare parts (screens, batteries, flex cables, ICs) and notify management when reordering is required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) compliant workbench.
- Adhere to proper battery disposal guidelines and electronic waste management procedures.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Technical Training
- High School Diploma, ITI, or Diploma in Electronics / Mobile Hardware Repair.
- Formal certification in Mobile Hardware Repair or Smartphone Technician training is preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in smartphone and tablet repair.
- Proven experience working with major smartphone brands (Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme).

Technical Skills
- Proficiency with repair tools: Soldering iron, SMD hot air gun, multimeter, DC power supply, microscope, and screen separation machines.
- Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and diagnostic block diagrams.
- Sound understanding of iOS and Android system operations, fastboot/DFU modes, and flashing tools.

Soft Skills & Abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for micro-scale components.
- Robust diagnostic and logical problem-solving abilities.
- Polite communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high volume repair days.

Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Prior experience working at an Authorized Service Center (ASC) or independent multi-brand repair shop.
- Familiarity with service management/POS software for logging work orders.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
