Mobile App Developer / PWA Specialist

Role Summary

We're looking for a Mobile App Developer / PWA Specialist to build fast, reliable web applications that work beautifully on phones and tablets even when there's no internet connection. Our users are often out in the field, so the apps you build need to just work, wherever they are.

You'll specialize in Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) websites that behave like native mobile apps, complete with offline access, smooth touch interactions, and app-like performance, without requiring users to download anything from an app store.

Key Responsibilities

- Build Mobile-First Interfaces: Develop and fine-tune Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and mobile-responsive interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, so every screen feels natural on a touchscreen.
- Make It Work Offline: Implement caching strategies and offline data synchronization so field users can keep working without a reliable connection, with data updating automatically once they're back online; build responsive navigation tailored for mobile use.
- Connect the Dots: Integrate the mobile frontend with backend REST APIs, authentication services, and interactive mapping tools like Leaflet or Google Maps, so location-based features work seamlessly.
- Test Across Devices: Validate that the app renders quickly, works across different browsers, and interacts properly with device hardware across a range of phones, tablets,



and screen resolutions.
- Keep Desktop & Mobile in Sync: Ensure the mobile experience matches the desktop web portal in functionality and feel, so users get a consistent experience no matter which device they're on.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience building frontend or mobile web applications.
- Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), Leaflet, Google Maps JavaScript API, Modern CSS Frameworks
- Core Skills: Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Tooling: Experience with Vite, a fast frontend build tool, for setting up and optimizing development workflows.
- PWA Know-How: Practical knowledge of building Progressive Web Apps, including offline support and caching strategies.
- Mapping: Experience integrating mapping libraries such as Leaflet or the Google Maps JavaScript API.
- Styling: Comfort working with modern CSS frameworks to build responsive, polished interfaces.

Preferred Skills

- Experience building field-ready applications for offline-first use cases
- Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI best practices
- Familiarity with service workers and web storage APIs
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser testing
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile web
- Experience working with REST APIs and authentication services
