Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled VMware to Hyper-V Migration Engineer with hands-on experience in virtualization technologies and migration projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in planning, executing, and validating migrations from VMware environments to Microsoft Hyper-V while ensuring minimal business disruption and maintaining infrastructure stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing VMware infrastructure and develop migration strategies to Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Perform VM discovery, dependency mapping, and migration planning.
- Execute end-to-end migration of virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Hyper-V clusters and virtualization environments.
- Validate migrated workloads and ensure performance, availability,
and security standards are met.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, storage, and application teams during migration activities.
- Create migration documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Monitor and optimize Hyper-V environments post migration.
Required Skills
- Solid experience in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V implementation and management.
- Expertise in VMware-to-Hyper-V migration tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Administration and Virtualization concepts.
- Understanding of storage, networking, clustering, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with troubleshooting virtualization and infrastructure-related issues.
