JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on Migration Engineer specializing in identity, device, and cloud infrastructure migrations to join our growing team. This role is focused on executing migration projects under the guidance of a Senior Migration Specialist, spanning on-premises Active Directory environments through Entra ID, Intune, and Azure infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with identity and device migration, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Graph API, along with practical Azure infrastructure knowledge. Unlike highly standardized content migration work, this role requires the ability to troubleshoot less-defined scenarios, adapt scripts, research unfamiliar environments, and develop practical solutions when off-the-shelf migration tools are unavailable.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute Entra ID/Azure AD tenant-to-tenant identity migration activities.

Work with on-premises Active Directory environments, including GPO, DNS, and DHCP, as migration source environments.

Support hybrid identity transitions using AD Connect/Entra Connect synchronization.

Execute Intune device migration activities, including enrollment, compliance policies,



and Conditional Access.

Perform user profile and settings migration during domain-to-cloud and tenant-to-tenant transitions.

Troubleshoot device enrollment, re-enrollment, provisioning, and authentication issues.

Deploy and migrate Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, VNets, storage accounts, and basic networking components.

Support workload lift-and-shift migrations from on-premises VMware or Hyper-V environments to cloud destinations.

Maintain working awareness of AWS, GCP, and other cloud platforms to support discovery and basic migration execution.

Use PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API to execute migration tasks where GUI-based tools are unavailable or insufficient.

Build, adapt, and troubleshoot scripts for device, identity, and user profile migration activities.

Research and develop approaches for non-standard or first-time migration scenarios.

Validate migrated identities, devices, profiles, policies, and infrastructure against defined project requirements.

Document technical approaches, scripts, workarounds, and procedures for repeatable execution.

Identify technical risks and escalate migration blockers or unfamiliar destination-platform issues to the Senior Migration Specialist promptly.

Support remediation activities and post-migration validation.

ELIGIBILITY

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

6-10 years of total IT experience, with direct hands-on experience in identity, device, cloud,



or infrastructure migration projects.

2-4 years of hands-on experience in identity/device migration and/or cloud infrastructure migration.

Experience working with structured migration projects and defined execution methodologies.

Experience in an MSP, consulting, or project-based IT workplace is preferred.Experience working in an MSP, consulting, or project-based IT environment is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILL SET

Hands-on experience with Entra ID/Azure AD and hybrid identity environments.

Practical experience with Azure AD Connect/Entra Connect synchronization.

Working knowledge of on-premises Active Directory, including GPO, DNS, and DHCP, sufficient to assess and migrate from the source environment.

Hands-on experience with Intune, device enrollment, compliance policies, and Conditional Access.

Practical experience with at least one device/profile migration solution such as Intune/Autopilot, ImmyBot, Cloudiway, ProfWiz/Forensit User Profile Wizard, or equivalent.

Strong PowerShell scripting skills for migration and automation activities.

Practical experience using Microsoft Graph API for migration-related tasks.

Basic hands-on Azure infrastructure experience, including VMs, VNets, storage accounts, and basic networking.

Understanding of device provisioning, enrollment, profile migration, and troubleshooting.

Ability to develop or adapt scripts when standard migration tools are insufficient.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Ability to document non-standard approaches and create repeatable procedures.
