We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Millwork Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience in designing and engineering custom millwork, cabinetry, furniture, and architectural interior elements.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of millwork construction, materials, hardware, manufacturing processes, and technical detailing, with the ability to convert concepts and architectural drawings into accurate production-ready designs.

Key Responsibility:

- Develop detailed millwork shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and production drawings.
- Convert architectural/interior design concepts into practical and manufacturable millwork solutions.
- Prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections, assemblies, and construction details.
- Design custom cabinetry, wall paneling, reception desks, counters, wardrobes, doors, furniture, and other architectural millwork.
- Prepare cutting lists, BOMs, material specifications, and hardware schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, project managers, production teams, and site teams.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify design conflicts, constructability issues, and discrepancies.
- Ensure designs meet project requirements, quality standards, dimensions, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Make design modifications based on site conditions, client requirements, and engineering feedback.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth transition from design to production.




- Support installation teams with technical clarifications and drawing revisions when required.
- Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and project documentation.

Required Skills:

- 3+ years of relevant experience in millwork / woodworking / architectural interiors / furniture design engineering.
- Robust knowledge of millwork construction and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, SolidWorks, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of wood-based materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, HPL, and related materials.
- Knowledge of hardware, fittings, hinges, drawer systems, connectors, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, joinery, and fabrication details.
- Good problem-solving and technical coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
