We are looking for a technically strong Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Consultant who can work across the complete data and BI lifecycle—from understanding business requirements and designing the architecture to building Fabric solutions, developing Power BI reports and dashboards, optimizing performance, and supporting production environments.

About the Role

As a Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

This is not an integration-only role. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience working across the broader Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory/Pipelines, Notebooks/Spark, data transformation, data modelling, semantic models and Power BI.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of a solution from requirement gathering and architecture through development, testing, deployment, optimization and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Fabric – End-to-End

- Design and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Work across Fabric workloads including:
- Fabric Data Factory / Data Pipelines
- Lakehouse
- Data Warehouse
- Notebooks
- Spark / PySpark
- OneLake
- Data transformation and processing
- Build scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
- Develop data ingestion, transformation and processing workflows from multiple sources.
- Design appropriate Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures based on business and reporting requirements.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data transformation logic.
- Work with notebooks and Spark/PySpark where required for data engineering and transformation.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring and troubleshooting processes.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability and reliability issues across Fabric workloads.
- Follow appropriate practices for security, governance, documentation and access management.

Power BI
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports and analytical solutions.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful BI solutions and visualizations.




- Develop and optimize Power BI data models and semantic models.
- Write and optimize DAX measures and calculations.
- Use Power Query for data preparation and transformation where required.
- Work with appropriate relationships, star schemas and modelling approaches.
- Implement appropriate Power BI security, including Row-Level Security (RLS) where required.
- Troubleshoot report, refresh, modelling and performance issues.
- Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models for performance and usability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand KPIs, reporting requirements and business logic.
- Consulting & Solution Ownership
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution architecture and technology decisions.
- Recommend appropriate Fabric and Power BI approaches based on project requirements.
- Own solutions through the complete lifecycle: requirements → architecture → development → testing → deployment → optimization → support.
- Work closely with developers, data engineers, BI analysts and business stakeholders.
- Document technical solutions, data flows, architecture and implementation details.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues independently and provide scalable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing data and BI environments.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric AND Power BI.
- Proven experience implementing Microsoft Fabric end-to-end, beyond basic integrations or connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with multiple Microsoft Fabric workloads such as:
- Strong knowledge of Power BI
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT and data modelling concepts.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and building centralized analytical solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing both Fabric and Power BI workloads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to independently take ownership of technical solutions.
- Valuable communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Important: Fabric Experience





We Are Looking For Candidates should have actual implementation experience with Microsoft Fabric, not just experience connecting external systems to Fabric.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate experience with several stages of the Fabric ecosystem, such as:

Data Sources → Ingestion → Pipelines → Lakehouse / Warehouse → Transformation → Notebooks / Spark → Data Modelling → Semantic Model → Power BI → Deployment & Optimization

Candidates whose Fabric experience is limited primarily to integrations, connectors or basic pipeline creation would not be the intended fit for this role.

Good to Have

- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Azure SQL / SQL Server.
- Python / PySpark experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture and OneLake.
- Experience with Fabric deployment and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Power BI Service and workspace management.
- Knowledge of data governance, security and access management.
- Microsoft Fabric / Power BI / Azure certifications.
- Previous experience in consulting or client-facing technical roles.
