Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare samples through cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing and etching

- Perform material characterization of metals, polymers, plastics and engineering materials

- Conduct failure investigation and root cause analysis

- Perform metallurgical testing and microstructural evaluation

- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory/metallography equipment

- Prepare technical reports and test documentation

- Maintain laboratory records, equipment and testing procedures as per quality and safety standards

Required Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of metals, metallurgical testing practices and laboratory equipment

- Knowledge of fractography and failure analysis

- Hands-on experience in metallographic sample preparation

- Experience with SEM, EDS, Optical Microscopy and Hardness Testers

- Knowledge of material characterization and failure analysis techniques
