Role Description The Merchandiser role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tirupur. The Merchandiser will manage the end-to-end order process, including sampling, costing, and order confirmation with international and domestic buyers.

This role involves coordinating with design, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution of styles, adherence to specifications, and on-schedule deliveries. The Merchandiser will track production status, update buyers regularly, manage approvals (fabric, trims, fits, colors),



and address any issues that arise during development and bulk production. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, preparing reports, supporting compliance requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement in buyer service and product performance.

Qualifications

- Solid merchandising and product development skills, including experience with sampling, costing, and order follow-up.
- Knowledge of knitwear manufacturing processes, fabric types, trims, and garment construction, ideally within the Tirupur ecosystem.
- Proficiency in communication and coordination with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams, including clear written and verbal English.
- Ability to manage timelines, prioritize multiple styles and programs, and maintain accurate documentation and tracking tools.
- Familiarity with quality standards, production planning, and basic understanding of certifications such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and Sedex.
- Comfort using office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, order management tools) for reporting and data management.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in textiles, fashion technology, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
