Furniture Merchandiser

Role & responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact for buyers and manage customer relationships.

- Coordinate product development, sampling, and approvals as per buyer requirements.

- Work closely with design, sourcing, and production teams to ensure timely order execution.

- Source materials, hardware, and components while managing vendor relationships.

- Prepare cost sheets, quotations, and pricing proposals.

- Monitor production progress, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

- Conduct market research on furniture trends, materials, and competitor activities.

- Coordinate logistics, shipment schedules, and order tracking.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Furniture Design, Business, or a related field.

- 4-6 years of experience in furniture merchandising, sourcing, or product development.

- Robust knowledge of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.

- Experience in costing, vendor management, and buyer communication.

- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
