Job Purpose To manage the complete merchandising process from receiving customer requirements and product specifications through sampling, costing, order execution, production coordination, quality control and timely dispatch, while ensuring customer requirements and company standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Order Management

- Coordinate with customers regarding product requirements, specifications, quantities, prices and delivery schedules.
- Understand customer tech packs, specifications, drawings, samples and other product requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and provide order status updates.
- Follow up for approvals related to samples, colours, materials, trims and packaging.

Product Development & Sampling

- Coordinate development of samples as per customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain sample development records.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Quality and Purchase teams for timely sample completion.
- Ensure samples are submitted to customers within agreed timelines.
- Track customer comments and ensure required modifications are incorporated.

Costing & Commercial Activities

- Prepare product costing based on material, labour, accessories, processing and other applicable costs.
- Coordinate with Production and Purchase departments for accurate costing.
- Support price negotiations with customers under management guidance.
- Prepare quotations and maintain costing records.

Production Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, Stores and Quality departments to ensure smooth order execution.




- Monitor production progress against planned delivery schedules.
- Follow up on material availability and production readiness.
- Identify delays and communicate them to the concerned departments and management.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved samples and specifications.

Material & Accessories Follow-Up

- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of fabrics, leather, trims, accessories, packaging material and other components.
- Monitor material requirements against customer orders.
- Follow up on shortages, delays and quality issues.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure production follows approved samples, specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspection and corrective actions.
- Communicate customer quality requirements to the concerned departments.
- Ensure customer complaints and quality issues are followed up and resolved promptly.

Order Tracking & Dispatch

- Maintain order status and production tracking reports.
- Monitor order quantities, production status and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Dispatch/Logistics for timely shipment.




- Ensure required documents and packing details are completed before dispatch.
- Maintain records of dispatched and pending orders.

Daily Responsibilities

- Review pending orders and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with Production, Purchase, Stores and Quality.
- Update order status and customer communication records.
- Monitor sampling and approval status.
- Track material and accessory availability.
- Identify potential delays and escalate them to management.
- Maintain daily/weekly merchandising reports.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of manufacturing merchandising processes.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to prepare costing and order tracking reports.

Qualification & Experience Education: Graduate / Diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Production, Business Administration or related field.

Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising, preferably in garment/apparel manufacturing.

Candidates with experience in export merchandising, production coordination, customer handling and product development will be preferred.
