Consultant (Medical Analytics)

Insights and Analytics | 3 5 Years | Full time | Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Project Delivery

- Lead and execute end-to-end consulting projects for pharma/biotech clients in Medical Affairs, RWE, and healthcare analytics.
- Translate client business questions (e.g., evidence gaps, HCP prioritization, launch support) into analytic plans and workplans.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality, client-ready outputs.

Medical & RWE Analytics

- Conduct retrospective analyses using claims, EHR, registry, and other RWD to characterize disease burden, treatment patterns, and patient journeys.
- Support design and execution of RWE studies, observational analyses, and evidence generation plans for regulatory, market access, and medical strategy.
- Develop medically compliant insights for publications, dossiers, medical information, and scientific communications.

Medical Affairs & Commercial Enablement (Non-Promotional)

- Build HCP segmentation and prioritization models using prescribing behavior, clinical trial activity, publications, and engagement data.
- Analyze medical inquiry trends, scientific exchange interactions, and educational program impact to optimize Medical Affairs resourcing and strategy.
- Create dashboards and reports for MSLs, Medical Directors, and cross-functional stakeholders to track KPIs and field insights.

Thought Leadership & Business Development





- Contribute to proposal development, RFP responses, and solution design for new opportunities.
- Develop point-of-view materials, frameworks, and methodologies in medical analytics and RWE.
- Support business development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and relationship building.

Data, Methods & Governance

- Ensure analytic rigor, reproducibility, and documentation of methods, code, and assumptions.
- Apply appropriate statistical and epidemiologic methods for observational data and RWE studies.
- Maintain compliance with data privacy (HIPAA, GDPR) and promotional/non-promotional boundaries.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor s degree required; advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, PharmD, MBA, or related) strongly preferred.
- 3 6 years of experience in pharma/biotech, healthcare consulting, RWE/HEOR, or medical analytics.
- Strong understanding of drug development, clinical trial design, GCP, and Medical Affairs/RWE functions.
- Proficiency in at least one analytic language (SQL, Python, R, or SAS) and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with healthcare data sources (claims, EHR, registries, lab data, medical information logs).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to present complex analytics to senior pharma and medical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
