IOWIT Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of industrial printing, holography, coating, embossing, metallizing, and converting production equipment.

Industry Requirement

Candidates must have hands-on experience in the printing, packaging, converting, or allied industrial manufacturing industry. Experience with holographic production, roll-to-roll machinery, embossing, metallizing, or security printing equipment is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems of printing and holography production machines.
- Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in production equipment, rotating machinery, drive systems, rollers, shafts, bearings, gears, couplings, chains, belts, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot roll-to-roll production and web handling systems.
- Support maintenance of printing, coating, embossing, metallizing, slitting, and associated production equipment.
- Troubleshoot web tension, alignment, roller, nip, winding, unwinding, and material handling systems.
- Inspect and maintain bearings, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps, motors, couplings, mechanical seals, and transmission systems.
- Identify machine vibration, abnormal noise, overheating, misalignment, and mechanical wear.
- Perform shaft, roller, bearing, coupling, and machine alignment as required.
- Coordinate with electrical and production teams during machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules,



checklists, and machine maintenance records.
- Identify recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, relocation, and upgrading of production machinery.
- Coordinate with machine manufacturers, service engineers, and external vendors for technical support.
- Maintain critical mechanical spare parts and recommend inventory requirements.
- Ensure proper lubrication schedules and lubrication practices for production machinery.
- Support machine improvement, reliability, productivity, and downtime reduction projects.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical safety procedures and industrial maintenance practices.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Experience with printing, converting, coating, embossing, metallizing, or similar production machinery.
- Strong knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, chains, belts, rollers, gears, and mechanical transmission systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with web handling, tension control, winding, unwinding, and roller systems.
- Ability to identify mechanical faults through vibration, noise, temperature, wear, and visual inspection.
- Knowledge of machine alignment and basic precision measurement techniques.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings,



assembly drawings, and equipment layouts.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and workshop practices.
- Valuable understanding of machine safety and maintenance procedures.

Industry-Specific Requirements

- Minimum 7 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in the printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing industry.
- Practical experience with printing, coating, embossing, metallizing, slitting, or similar continuous production machinery.
- Working knowledge of holography and holographic manufacturing processes is required.
- Experience with roll-to-roll production equipment and web handling systems is preferred.
- Experience with UV-based production equipment, embossing systems, metallizing equipment, or slitting machines will be an advantage.
- Experience maintaining high-speed continuous production machinery will be preferred.

Education Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who can independently diagnose mechanical problems, respond quickly to machine breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and improve the reliability and uptime of production equipment.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a continuous production environment and coordinating closely with electrical, production, and R&D; teams.
