Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work on-site in Howrah in a full-time capacity, working and operating Cnc Plasma Oxy-Fuel Laser Machines.

Responsibilities include profile cutting of sheets, plates in machine, designing mechanical components (Autocad) and systems for fabrication projects, preparing and reviewing technical drawings and models using CAD tools, and collaborating with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality. The role involves conducting calculations and analyses for strength, durability, and performance, as well as participating in R&D; initiatives to optimize processes, tooling, and product designs.

The Mechanical

Engineer will also assist in coordinating project timelines, addressing technical queries from clients and internal stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to steel structures and fabrication processes.




- Proficiency in Machine Design and mechanical component optimization for cutting, bending, and forming applications.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for creating and modifying 2D/3D drawings and models.
- Skills in Project Management, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and tracking milestones.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D;) focused on process improvement, material utilization, and product performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes such as CNC plasma cutting, laser cutting, and plate bending is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and safety practices in industrial and fabrication environments.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
