Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for chiller product design, BOM development, engineering documentation, new product development, and coordination with cross-functional teams. The role involves working on Water-Cooled VFD/Fix-Speed Screw & Scroll Chillers, Air-Cooled VFD/Fix-Speed Scroll Chillers, and Brine Chillers, along with supporting product validation and manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify Chiller Design SAP BOMs as per customer/order specifications.
- Develop and maintain New Product BOMs for Water-Cooled VFD/Fix-Speed Screw & Scroll Chillers, Air-Cooled VFD/Fix-Speed Scroll Chillers, and Brine Chillers.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Assembly, and Testing teams for chiller assembly and testing, particularly for non-standard/customized specifications.
- Generate and maintain SAP part codes through PLM (Windchill) and ensure proper engineering data management.
- Review, verify, and correct engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support prototype chiller manufacturing, product validation, and testing activities.




- Investigate and resolve site/product complaints and carry out physical BOM verification at the plant.
- Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Production, Purchase, and Stores teams for engineering requirements and new product/part development.
- Support engineering changes, BOM updates, and implementation of new or modified components.
- Ensure engineering documentation and product data are maintained accurately as per company processes.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – Preferred / Pursuing candidates may be considered.
- Relevant experience in HVAC, Chiller, Refrigeration, Mechanical Design, or New Product Development will be an advantage.

Required Technical Skills
- Valuable understanding of Mechanical Engineering and Chiller systems.
- Experience in BOM preparation, verification, and engineering change management.
- Working knowledge of SAP and PLM (Windchill).
- Ability to understand and review engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of product development, prototype manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
