Xtrawrkx is hiring on behalf of one of our clients for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer.

Our client is a leading EV two-wheeler manufacturer looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in automotive component design and development. The candidate will be responsible for developing manufacturable designs, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and supporting prototyping, testing, and manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive components, parts, and assemblies for EV two-wheelers.
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings with GD&T; while following applicable drafting standards.
- Convert design concepts and engineering requirements into manufacturable 3D CAD models.
- Develop and modify components based on design, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design verification activities.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams for product development and continuous improvement.
- Identify design issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs meet engineering standards, quality requirements,



and production feasibility.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and engineering drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/automotive design, preferably in the automotive or EV industry.
- Proficiency in one or more CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drafting standards.
- Good understanding of automotive component design and manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of FEA and design analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and design analysis skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced product development setting.

Qualification

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Preferred Background

- Experience in EV two-wheeler product development.
- Hands-on experience with automotive components, assemblies, and production-oriented design.
- Exposure to prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing coordination.
