Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design & Engineering Pre-Sales Engineer who can combine solid mechanical design expertise with engineering pre-sales and techno-commercial proposal development.

The candidate will understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions, prepare techno-commercial proposals and support business development across the Energy, Automotive and Aerospace industries.

The role also involves mechanical system design, 3D modelling, 2D engineering drawings, and system design and documentation for Solar, Electric Vehicles (EV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities1. Engineering Pre-Sales

- Understand customer technical requirements, RFQs, RFPs and tender specifications.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and prospects.
- Translate customer requirements into feasible engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support to the Business Development and Sales teams.
- Prepare technical presentations and participate in customer meetings.
- Support estimation, costing and solution feasibility studies.

1. Techno-Commercial Proposal

- Prepare technical and techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
- Prepare scope of work, technical specifications, BOM/BOQ and cost estimates.
- Review RFQ/RFP documents and identify technical and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams for accurate costing.
- Prepare proposal drawings, layouts and supporting technical documentation.
- Support negotiations and technical clarifications during the proposal stage.

1. Mechanical Design & Development





- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, structures and systems.
- Create 3D models, assemblies and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Develop concepts from customer requirements through to detailed engineering.
- Perform design reviews, design optimization and value engineering.
- Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams and suppliers for design feasibility and implementation.

1. CAD / Mechanical Design Software

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- PTC Creo
- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks
- CATIA

A strong understanding of 3D modelling, assemblies, detailing, drawing standards, tolerances and design-for-manufacturing principles is preferred.
1. Energy System Design

Experience in Solar, EV and BESS system design and engineering, including:
- Solar system mechanical design and layouts.
- EV charging infrastructure and mechanical integration.
- BESS container/enclosure and equipment layouts.
- Equipment mounting structures and supports.
- System layouts, GA drawings and engineering drawings.
- Preparation and review of BOMs and technical documentation.
- Coordination between mechanical, electrical and other engineering disciplines.





Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following industries will be preferred:
- Energy / Renewable Energy

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, engineering pre-sales or technical proposal development.
- Experience in Energy, Automotive, Aerospace, Solar, EV or BESS will be an advantage.
