Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on-site in Kochi in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems for MEP projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing mechanical layouts and schematics, performing design calculations, and creating detailed 2D/3D models using CAD tools.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and plumbing systems, reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with codes and standards, and supporting project documentation.



The engineer will also assist in coordinating with clients and contractors, addressing technical queries, and ensuring that project milestones and quality requirements are met.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and strength of materials.
- Demonstrated skills in Design Engineering and Machine Design for building systems and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in Product Design and practical application of engineering principles to develop reliable, efficient solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling in an engineering environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and building codes relevant to MEP projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Previous experience in MEP design or building services engineering is an advantage.
