Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The individual in this role will design and develop mechanical components and systems for automation solutions, including material handling equipment, robotics integration, and custom machinery. Day-to-day tasks include creating 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools, performing design calculations, and ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and safety requirements.

The Mechanical Design

Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in electrical, control,



and project engineering to support prototyping, testing, and integration activities. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, participating in design reviews, and providing engineering support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with a solid understanding of core mechanical principles and industrial applications.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Machine Design and Product Design, including development of components and assemblies for automation or manufacturing systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D/2D modeling software.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and tolerance analysis relevant to fabrication and precision machining.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams and meet project timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; relevant industry experience in automation, robotics, or industrial equipment design is an advantage.
- Familiarity with industrial standards, safety regulations, and basic exposure to robotics, AI, or IoT-enabled systems will be beneficial.
