- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the nursing department.

- Ensure proper nursing care and patient safety across all wards, ICUs, OTs, and other clinical areas.

- Prepare and monitor nursing duty rosters, shift schedules, leave arrangements, and staff deployment.

- Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline, and performance of nursing staff.

- Ensure adequate staffing levels according to patient workload and hospital requirements.

- Conduct regular rounds and monitor nursing standards and patient-care practices.

- Ensure proper documentation of nursing notes, medication records, patient charts, and other nursing records.

- Ensure compliance with infection-control, hygiene, safety, and hospital protocols.

- Coordinate with doctors, administration, HR, pharmacy, laboratory, housekeeping, and other departments.

- Handle patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services and escalate serious matters to management.





- Identify training and development requirements for nursing staff and arrange or recommend appropriate training.

- Monitor the availability and proper use of nursing equipment, medicines, consumables, and other required materials.

- Ensure proper handover and communication between shifts.

- Participate in hospital audits, quality-control activities, inspections, and accreditation requirements.

- Investigate nursing-related incidents and prepare reports for management when required.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.

- Ensure compliance with applicable hospital policies, nursing standards, and statutory requirements.

- Prepare regular nursing department reports and submit them to management
