The tutor will provide academic support to hostel students, including clarifying mathematical concepts, assisting with homework, and preparing learners for school exams and competitive tests. Daily responsibilities include conducting small-group and one-on-one sessions, creating practice materials, monitoring student progress, and offering regular feedback to help improve performance.

The role also involves maintaining discipline and a positive learning workplace in the hostel study area,



coordinating with school faculty when needed, and ensuring students follow their study schedules. The tutor is expected to use clear, student-friendly explanations and adjust teaching methods to different learning levels.

Qualifications

- Strong command of school-level mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and basic trigonometry; ability to explain concepts in a clear and structured manner.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching school students, preferably in a hostel or coaching environment; comfort with managing small groups and individual sessions.
- Skill in creating practice questions, worksheets, and revision plans tailored to varying student abilities; ability to track and report academic progress.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students respectfully, motivate them, and maintain a positive study atmosphere.
- Good classroom and time management abilities, with a focus on consistency, punctuality, and adherence to school and hostel guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience supporting learners preparing for school exams or competitive entrance tests is an advantage.
