Openhouse is building a new-age learning ecosystem for children, bringing high-quality learning experiences across academics, sports and extracurriculars closer to where children live. Backed by leading investors including Accel, Matrix Partners and GSV, Openhouse has grown to 12 learning centres across Bangalore, reaching 10,000+ children through our centres and programs. We are now taking this experience beyond our centres and into the communities where families live.

Over the last three months, we have already gone live in 12+ apartments, bringing Openhouse's learning experiences directly into residential communities. This is just the beginning. Our ambition is to build a significant At Apartment and At Home presence across Bangalore, making high-quality learning accessible without children having to travel across the city.

What you will do

Teach maths to children, one child at a time. This is a teaching role. You will be in children's homes, teaching maths.

- Teach: Deliver 1:1 Maths sessions in children's homes through our At Home programme, for children aged 5-12.
- Understand the child: Work out where each child actually is and what they have not understood, and teach to that.
- Make it click: Explain ideas so a child understands them, rather than memorises a rule.
- Advise on our curriculum: We are building the Maths curriculum in-house. You will not be writing it.



We will come to you for a maths teacher's view - does this make sense, is the order right, will a child of this age follow it.
- Improve: Bring back what you see in sessions so what we build keeps getting better.

Who we're looking for
- 4-6 years of experience teaching Maths to children aged 5-12.
- Robust command of school-level Maths - and someone who genuinely enjoys the subject.
- Comfortable teaching 1:1 in a child's home, travelling to homes across Bangalore.
- Patient and clear, able to read a child's level and adjust on the spot.
- Based in Bangalore and available full-time.

You do not need curriculum design experience. If you have it, that is a bonus, not a requirement.

Teaching that is actually one-on-one. No class of forty, no syllabus to rush through. One child at a time, taught at the pace that child needs, with the time to find out what they have really understood.

You will be among the first maths teachers in our At Home programme, and the person whose view we ask for as we build the maths curriculum behind it.
