Role & responsibilities

- Data Cleansing & Normalization: Cleanse and standardize technical data for pumps and valves (e.g., flow rate, pressure rating, material, size, sealing type) using Python/SQL, reducing manual errors.
- AI-Assisted Data Management: Implement AI models to detect outliers, missing values, and identical rows within the pump/valve inventory datasets.
- Attribute Standardization: Ensure alignment with ISO/DIN/API standards for valve and pump classification.
- Data Quality Assurance: Create and maintain validation rules in ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle) to ensure high-quality data input for procurement and maintenance.
- Technical Documentation Review: Read and interpret pump/valve engineering drawings (PI&D;) and datasheets to fill in missing technical data.
- Collaboration: Work with engineering, procurement, and warehouse teams to validate cleaned data and resolve technical discrepancies.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering,



Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 25 years of experience in data cleansing, material master management, or technical procurement for pumps, valves, or static equipment.

- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP MM preferred).
- Strong knowledge of industrial valve types, pump hydraulics, and materials of construction.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Experience with AI-driven tools or automated cleaning scripts.
- Soft Skills: Robust attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to handle large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Material Master Data in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mastering algorithms and data stewardship.
- Familiarity with Data Quality tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).
