Role Description The Marketing Intern role at Mera Shehar is a full-time, on-site position based in Varanasi. The intern will support daily marketing activities such as assisting in campaign planning, executing local outreach initiatives, and promoting platform events and workshops.

Responsibilities include conducting basic market research, gathering feedback from users and partners, and helping draft marketing content for social media and other channels. The role involves engaging with local communities, coordinating with internal teams,



and providing support for events that highlight local talent and sustainable initiatives. The intern will also help track campaign performance and contribute ideas to improve visibility and engagement on the platform.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills for interacting with users, local partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to conduct Market Research and analyze basic data to understand local trends and user needs.
- Interest or foundational experience in Sales and Customer Service to support partner outreach and user engagement.
- Understanding of Marketing Strategy and willingness to contribute ideas to campaigns and community initiatives.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Comfort working on-site in Varanasi and engaging with local communities, businesses, and creators.
- Basic familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is an advantage.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for community building, arts, sustainability, or civic engagement.
